Abstract:
To scientifically quantify the Ecosystem Service Values (ESV) of Xiangjiang River Basin and optimize its regional ecological compensation mechanisms, based on the China Land Cover Dataset (CLCD) from 2013 to 2022, Arc-GIS software was used to evaluate the ecosystem service value of Xiangjiang River Basin by combining the equivalent factor method and the main function method, and the ecological compensation standard and compensation priority of each city were calculated after excluding the ecosystem service value consumed by the region through the water footprint method. The results showed that the ecological compensation standard rose from 37.823 billion yuan in 2013 to 68.190 billion yuan in 2022, with significant fluctuations during the period, and a minimum of 15.642 billion yuan in 2018 and a maximum of 79.195 billion yuan in 2019. The ecological compensation standards of all cities showed an increasing trend, and Yongzhou City and Yueyang City increased significantly. Hengyang City, Changsha City and Zhuzhou City grew steadily, while Xiangtan City grew moderately and accounted for a relatively low proportion. In 2022, the priority of ecological compensation in descending order is Yongzhou City, Yueyang City, Zhuzhou City, Hengyang City, Xiangtan City and Changsha City. The study can provide a reference for making ecological protection policies and resource management decisions in Xiangjiang River Basin.
