Protection and governance approaches of Yangtze river mainstream in Jiangxi Section based on functional zoning

Strengthening the protection and governance with the river basin as a unit is an important measure to implement Yangtze River Protection Strategy and River Chief System.It s important to support the river and lake management as well as protection and governance.Taking the basin of Jiangxi Section in the Yangtze River mainstream as the research object, this paper, in accordance with the principles of zonal, sectional, and layered protection, through the zonal protection of the whole basin, the longitudinal sectional protection along the river, and the transverse layered protection, sorts out the current situation of basin protection and governance, the existing problems, as well as the ideas and countermeasure suggestions for zonal protection and governance.The research results can provide references for the protection and governance of similar basins.
